Genshin Impact Details Version 4.0 Second Half Events |
HoYOverse is providing Genshin Impact players with insights into what they can anticipate in the second half of Version 4.0, shedding light on the upcoming events set to unfold in the upcoming weeks. The latest update for the immensely popular RPG marked one of its most significant updates of the year, introducing players to the vibrant Hydro region of Fontaine. In addition to introducing three new characters, the inclusion of Fontaine brought forth several fresh gameplay mechanics, including the Pneuma and Ousia combat systems, along with underwater areas within the region. Now, a variety of events are on the horizon as the second half of the update takes center stage.
The initial phase of Version 4.0 primarily concentrated on acquainting players with Genshin Impact's latest region, immersing them in its narrative and events. The Archon Quest of the region unveiled significant themes within Fontaine, revolving around concepts of justice, the court system of Fontaine, and its array of notable characters. The events during the first half included tasks where players collected regional items for rewards, delved into the depths of Fontaine's underwater chasms, and engaged in battles against the newly introduced adversaries. In Version 4.0's second half, a diverse array of activities awaits, ranging from combat challenges to a creative photo-taking event.
The official preview shared across Genshin Impact's social media platforms provides players with an up-close look at the event lineup for the latter half of Version 4.0. HoYOverse will initiate the update's second phase with the "Verdict of Blades" event, set to commence on September 4. This event will thrust players into combat challenges, offering a range of rewards including Primogems. The "Studies in Light and Shadow" event will task players with utilizing a specialized Kamera to capture various scenic sights across Fontaine. Furthermore, Version 4.0's second half is set to feature a "Ley Line Overflow" event, alongside a fresh "Heated Battle" challenge for the Genius Invokation TCG.
The latter half of Version 4.0 is set to welcome back two returning five-star characters, both of whom have garnered popularity among Genshin Impact players. HoYOverse had previously confirmed the re-run banners for Zhongli and Tartaglia, beloved characters, launching on September 5. Zhongli is renowned for his role as a formidable support character, while Tartaglia plays a pivotal role in Fontaine's overarching narrative. These new re-run banners will also introduce a new four-star character, Freminet, who happens to be the younger sibling of Lyney and Lynette.
While the initial wave of Genshin Impact's latest region gradually comes to a close over the next few weeks, many players are already directing their attention toward Version 4.1. HoYOverse has officially confirmed that the Version 4.1 update will introduce two new characters: Neuvillette, the chief justice of Fontaine, and Wriothesley, the administrator of the Fortress of Meropide. Furthermore, speculations are rife about the addition of the first expansion to Fontaine in this update, potentially incorporating the Fortress of Meropide as an accessible area on the map. With an array of fresh events and characters on the horizon, Genshin Impact players have much to anticipate in the near future.
